Los Angeles, CA November 9, 2010 –Due to a rapid influx of new clients, Allenatore, Esposito & Raffin, LLC. is proud to announce the hiring of Allan Shapiro to their staff of consultants. AER is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive and professional prison and sentencing consulting and inmate advocacy, and looks forward to continued growth and expansion in the future.
Allan Shapiro comes to us from the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project where he spent 7 years as a project manager, a case manager and a client advocate in the San Francisco County Jail. He was also an instrumental part of the No Violence Alliance (NoVA) program, working with violent ex-offenders and parolees to secure housing, employment and stability. Mr. Shapiro is a published author as well. His work has appeared in numerous literary magazines throughout the country, and he has spent time as both an editor and a publisher.
Mr. Shapiro is joining a staff of consultants with over 27 years experience in California sentencing mitigation schemes and California penal institutions. We offer one-on-one counseling with experienced male or female counselors, and help ease our client’s transition from life in the community to either state or federal prison. Our consultants will work vigorously and tirelessly to advocate on behalf of an incarcerated client and their family throughout the client’s sentence. Our consultants assist with administrative appeals (BP9’s, BP10’s, and BP11’s), CA 602 filings, in-custody disciplinary charges (115’s) and ensuring that all a client’s prison medical needs are met.
Allenatore, Esposito & Raffin also provides legal support services, post-conviction support and low cost paralegal services. We specialize in drafting comprehensive state or federal memoranda and responses to probation department’s sentencing recommendations. We can also provide expert guideline analysis and memos, including defense motions on guideline application. And our paralegal services will help increase a defense counsel’s productivity.
For post-conviction clients, we provide a detailed federal or state prison facility review and placement package and individualized one-on-one counseling. Other specialties include treaty and near-release transfers; DSCC facility designation and re-designation requests; management variable requests and the administrative remedy process.
